Booking & Cancellation Policy

1. Booking Confirmation

A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total trip cost is required to reserve your spot on any trek or expedition.

The remaining balance must be paid at least 30 days before the trip start date.

For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment must be submitted at the time of booking.

2. Cancellation by the Client

All cancellations must be made in writing via email to: info@k2expeditiontrekking.com. Refunds (if applicable) will be processed as follows:

Note: Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to another trip if the cancellation is made 60 days or more before the departure date.

3. Cancellation by K2 Expeditions & Trekking

If the company must cancel a trip due to unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather, political instability, natural catastrophes, or other events beyond our control:

You may receive a full refund of amounts paid; OR

You may choose to transfer your payment to another trip (valid for up to 1 year from the original trip date).

4. No-Show & Early Departure

If a client fails to show up for the trek or leaves the trip early for any reason, no refunds will be issued.

Clients are responsible for any additional costs incurred due to early departure.

5. Booking Amendments

Changes to trip dates or itineraries must be requested in writing at least 30 days before departure.

Amendments are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

6. Refund Process

All refund requests must be received in writing via the email above.

Refunds are processed within 15 business days of approval.

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method used to book.

7. Mandatory Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering:

Trip cancellation/interruption

Emergency medical treatment

Evacuation and rescue costs

Lost or stolen gear

Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect you against circumstances beyond our control.

8. Special Circumstances

For group bookings, customized expeditions, or large private departures, cancellation and refund terms may differ. Terms specific to those bookings will be detailed in your individual contract.
