Refund and Returns Policy

At K2 Expedition & Trekking, we strive to provide an exceptional trekking and expedition experience. We understand that plans can change unexpectedly. To ensure clarity and transparency, we have established the following refund policy for our valued clients:

1. Cancellation by the Client:

  • 60 Days or More Before the Trip Start Date:
    • 90% of the total trip cost will be refunded.
    • 10% will be retained as a non-refundable administrative fee.
  • 30 to 59 Days Before the Trip Start Date:
    • 50% of the total trip cost will be refunded.
    • 50% will be retained to cover pre-booked logistics and arrangements.
  • 15 to 29 Days Before the Trip Start Date:
    • 25% of the total trip cost will be refunded.
    • 75% will be retained due to fixed costs incurred.
  • 14 Days or Less Before the Trip Start Date:
    • No refund will be provided.
    • 100% of the trip cost will be retained as the cancellation fee.

2. Cancellation by K2 Expedition & Trekking:

If the trip is canceled by K2 Expedition & Trekking due to unforeseen circumstances (such as political instability, natural disasters, or any other event beyond our control), clients will be given the following options:

  • Full Refund of the Amount Paid
    OR
  • Transfer of the Amount Paid to Another Trip:
    • The amount can be used for any future trip within a period of 1 year.

3. No Show or Early Termination by the Client:

  • If a client fails to show up for the trip or leaves the expedition early for any reason, no refund will be provided. Any additional expenses incurred due to early departure will be the responsibility of the client.

4. Amendments to Bookings:

  • Any requests to change the dates or modify the trip itinerary must be made at least 30 days before the trip start date. All amendments are subject to availability and may incur additional charges based on logistics and accommodation arrangements.

5. Refund Process:

  • All refund requests must be made in writing via email to our support team.
  • Refunds will be processed within 15 working days from the date of the request.
  • Refunds will be issued through the original payment method used at the time of booking.

6. Non-Refundable Deposits:

  • All deposits made for securing your spot on the trek are non-refundable but may be transferred to a future trip, provided the cancellation is made 60 days before the start date.

7. Travel Insurance:

  • We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen cancellations, medical emergencies, or evacuation costs.

8. Special Circumstances:

  • For group bookings or customized expeditions, specific cancellation and refund policies may apply. Please refer to your contract or booking agreement for further details.
